Sentences to ponder

I can be a pretty naive guy, so this may not mean much, but I found this jaw-dropping. [emphasis mine]

With blu, we can still be ourselves.

After all, this country was founded on free will.

Consider this kind of marketing strategy with marijuana.

UPDATE: I’m all for moving away from locking people up, but I worry about legalized drugs combined with capitalism and marketing.

That ad’s appeal to identity is so dishonest and frames addiction as an expression of freedom and character, but it’s easy to imagine it being very powerful. Ugh!

  1. Wow. Thanks for sharing. And for making the connection to marijuana–seems obvious now that you mention it, but I hadn’t made it on my own.
